aedge 2019 (acronym for “Art Educators’ Developmental and Generative Explorations”) is the 8th iteration of the annual teacher-artist Art Exhibition.
Intentionally operating without a curatorial theme for the open call, aedge 2019 seeks to foreground the artist voices of our Art educators through their individual practices.
Through the process of Art educators sharing their bodies of work through the open call, the curatorium employed an approach similar to that of grounded theory in research, to surface shared narratives and Art practices that exist collectively across the fraternity. This formed the basis of aedge 2019, resulting in the curatorial theme of Time and Space and subthemes of Eternity, Minute and Moment.
