Contemporary Art Practices in School

Since 2013, STAR had worked with 14 Singapore-based artists to introduce different contemporary art-making approaches to art teachers. These took place as a series of workshops under the collective name of CAPS (Contemporary Art Practices in Schools) to offer art teachers the time and space to conceptualize and create artworks for the annual art teacher’s exhibition. At the same time, these workshops encourage teachers to continue to hone their art practice and discover new ways to engage students in art learning.
