When do we pause, breathe, and observe our surroundings?
In Between sparks the exploration and reinterpretation of the ordinary. It unveils new dimensions to the mundane that accompanied us through those still moments.
While words may seem ordinary, their true significance lies in the unique meaning you derive and create.

About Me
My background and how does that affect my work?
I’m a dreamer, and I have many dreams. It feels surreal that the ambition that I wrote in
my primary school journal was to become a teacher and I’m living my dream right now. I
also had the privilege to teach two subjects which I love very much – Art & Mathematics,
despite my background in Chemistry which I did terribly in.
My biggest artistic influence
My other secret ambition, much like a secret mission, was to pursue my passion in art. I
vividly remembered those days when I rushed to the TV to watch ‘Art Attack’ on Kids
Central. Neil Buchanan was a legend! I loved every segment of the show, especially where
he used everyday items to create art. I was constantly amazed by what he did, and it was
only till I grew up that I realised art is indeed everywhere.
Where do I make art?
Art is everywhere, and one place that I spent my time creating art is on the floor in my
bedroom. I liked that there was plenty of space to spread my materials around, and the
floor tiles were easier to clean compared to my table. The tiles would sometimes double
up as my cutting board and ruler too!
About My Art
What’s the purpose or goal of my work?
The purpose of my work serves as a reminder for those who resonate, to pause and
breathe, always. In the current society that we live in, we are occupied by the life and work
that we want to fulfil. We work hard for the lives that we envisioned ourselves to live. We
hustle till late. We serve the needs of others before ourselves.
What if the words that we told others when they are lost, exhausted, or overwhelmed,
were exactly what we needed for ourselves?
Why did I choose this medium?
With the mediums, I want to unveil the unspoken hopes that I have for these items.
I hope the adhesive tack will stay on the wall for a long time.
I hope the coffee gives the energy that is needed.
I hope the eraser will help in giving chances.
I hope the tears that were shed bring out the courage from within.
