Symphony of Order explores the intricate interplay of “order” and “unspoken laws” within social settings. The installation depicts 12 characters from different ethnicities and eras, gathered at a family meal. As the potential narrative unfolds, the voices and actions of individual characters are overlayed to reflect the subtleties of power dynamics, cultural etiquette, and unspoken hierarchies within a family.
Taking reference from materials stored within the Rotunda Library & Archive in Singapore, the artwork presents a textual collage of found dialogue, scripted with the help of generative AI.
