An immersive field of flowers draws viewers in with its textural quality. The scene of vivid colour invites viewers to submerse themselves into this scene of surreality. The flowers hover between being flora and bearing resemblance to the hand, disembodiedly waving in the breeze. No matter where the viewer turns, the scene is all-around and inescapable. In this series of work, the artist investigates the tension between people’s visual fascination with pleasant imagery and subject matter that may not be as congenial.
