The nondescript white glue is a common art material. It is an adhesive applied to materials to bind them together. Yet, I see glue as a magical material. It can be visible and invisible; it can change from a viscous material to a fragile, membrane-like layer, or resemble a scab that protects the human skin during a healing process. Thus, I use glue to act as a metaphorical material, portraying my experiences and memories. The marks made by glue – delicate or robust, serve as evidence of time passed; they are the lingering remnants of my lived encounters, feelings and thoughts.
