2015, Self-adhesive stickers on wall labels, Dimensions variable

Untitled (Sold) is a quiet, surreptitious intervention piece into the space of the exhibition. Taking its form as orange adhesive dots that one may find on labels next to artworks at gallery exhibitions or art fairs, they are an indication of interested buyers or a declaration of the work having been sold.
Despite its invisibility as an artwork, this overt interventionist gesture at commerce seeks to introduce an uncertainty in the viewers’ reading of an all-teachers’ exhibition, raising questions about the arguable ideological difference between art commerce and art education, as well as the discriminating omissions constructed from subjective notions of value.
